I have just found out that the firm that built Speedias - W R Products of Shepherds Bush - also made the reel and butt fittings for early B James MKIV. :Hat:

I vaguely remember that coming up on the forum before someone seeing it an old advert if memory serves.
There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.
