Welcome aboard :Hat:
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

Welcome Frenner. This is my favourite place, except when I am on the bank of a little river.

I lived in Rochester until a few years ago; was a member of Maidstone Victory, but spent most of my fishing time on the Len at Bearsted. Fabulous little river.

The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!

Thank you for the warm welcome, seeing off the season with a couple of hours on the Medway tomorrow, should have taken delivery of my new ( to me) traditional tackle by the middle of next week.
Thanks again, loving this forum already.

Welcome Frenner.

A recent newspaper article suggested that Rochester would be an interesting town to visit.
