Russell told me he stopped making and selling floats because of Andrew Field . He said Andy’s were so good he wasn’t prepared to be second best.
Sorry Russell I disagree, yours certainly are not inferior, just different and are very useable floats. I wish I had more of them!🍻

Many years ago I had a nice phone chat with Andrew.He asked a question about my workshop and I had to explain that all my floats were cobbled together on our kitchen table.His reply may have contained an expletive.Anyway,he said he'd made a couple of his own 'Grandmaster' floats but promised not sell them as they were my float design and unique to me.
A very humbling gesture from Andrew Field,Worlds Best Float maker.

It has occurred to me that,being a new member of only 10 days or so,I've been relentlessly posting pictures and comments on various subjects.In particular,the last 10 'Other Reels' posts have all been mine and I don't want to get on anyone's nerves...

As you say , counting your name on posts, just now, it appears 20 times on the new posts forum page 1 . It did make me think a bit, nobody else comes near .You do have a lot to say .
