Much of it was and maybe is still like that! Watch Passion for Angling - that's roughly when I fished it.

Except for the number of roach and salmon!

I seem to remember Tom having a weekly column in either the anglers mail or Times back in the early 70s....

Or more accurately his wife wrote the column in Anglers Mail for about 12 years. There is a book with a selection of articles.

Nice one, I will have a look for that. I didn't remember it was his wife who wrote the articles. They were my favourite thing in the anglers mail along with Jacks TV programs. Those were the days.....

I knew they were ghost written but unaware the 'ghost' was his wife :eyebrow:
