Love that photo.you imagine carrying all that gear plus the livebait bucket (glad to say that I have not used livebait now for about 30 years or more ) and sometimes a old homemade baitboat ,and climbing over a gate and up the steep side of the ressie,happy days

I still have the Efgeeco 42in net - went everywhere with me mostly for pike! Until glass came along!

Carp on and the arms came out of the spreader block. Got it back in with one hand- trapping my hand.
50 years later I am still proud of the scar!

I remember very well the news of his huge common carp.I might have this completely wrong but he was apparently asked where he caught it and he replied that it was "A British capture in the true sense of the word",forgetting to say that it was actually......... British Columbia.In the big scheme of things it didn't really matter but a lot of names were spitting feathers......Envy perhaps ?
