Here are the variants of the DAM Berlin 5000 built from 1949 to around 1960.
The role has been slightly changed over time to make improvements.
The numbers from 1 (1949) to 8 (approx. 1960) show the chronological sequence.
Among other things, the roller foot, the knobs and the brake nut are important for dating.
The reel was also available with an agate cord guide and was named DAM Berlin 5000 1/2.
