I am new to this forum so I will shortly introduce meself.

My name is Richard van Toorn 42 years old.
I live in the kingdom of the netherlands in a town called Tiel.
I am married and we have a daughter 8 years old.

I fish sinds 10 years old, every species of fish has or had my attension in the past.
Know my favorite species are carp and barbel.

I have learned to fish the traditional way.
I have fished with new methods but thats not my way.
Love to stalk the big commons from natural waters, I don’t fish waters with made swims!
I am a purist, and love the outside natur.

I like to read old fishing books, my favorite book is casting at the sun.
If someone has questions about me, please ask.

Kind regards,
Richard.

Welcome. I grew up stalking carp in natural clear waters. There seem to be very few of those now

Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’
