A hatch of rod rests.

Over the past few weeks I have had a spot of spare time when visiting family in Germany, my son there has a really good workshop with some fine bench , electric , and hand tools.
As he was working away for a few days , and the rest of the family were either at school or work, I took the opportunity to cobble together a few rod rests and other bits in his workshop.





The rod rests have welded steel spikes , and turned brass banding around the tops, I also managed a passable throwing weed drag rake , a sharp welded reed knife that screws into the end of a net pole and some net pole threaded tops and a few additional steel spikes for more rod rests .

The rests were brought home unfinished so I had some work yet to do.
