Octopus ESS- 7’0” Spinning rod.

From articles in the forum, am I correct in thinking, that this rod was made prior to 1964 because of the “Octopus” logo?

Green whippings; Lined butt and tip ring and an aluminium ferrule stopper.

Can this rod be dated properly?

Any info would be appreciated.
Oh to be at my “Happy Place” where nothing matters but the being there.

The octopus logo was replaced by the two fishes logo in 1963/64 so yes. I can't be more precise in date than that.
