Martin James Greaves

Post by Gone Fishing »

Hello, I was able to buy this Greaves rod some time ago. After the assessment it was clear that some details are not original. Partly to the chagrin of this wonderful fishing rod. Do you have a Greaves and can show photos? That would help me a lot to restore the rod properly. Thank you in advance...
Best regards
Markus

That's a beautiful piece of work. I have a Greaves and really like it. Enjoy. :Hat:

Nice finish on the rod Markus. How many coats of varnish was that?
What do they know of fishing who know only one fish and one way to fish for him?

Nice job that :Hat: I do like a nice bit of jasper whipping.

Thank you very much, I also think that Jasper fits well with this dark Tonkin. The rod is sealed with four layers of boat varnish. I'm also very excited about the rod action, I haven't tested the rod on the water yet :fishing2:
