No, it's female Tonkin stained green. Here's the entry in the 1957-58 Milwards catalogue.

Just bought one of these on EBay for £12.50.It looks to be in reasonable condition.I know some TFF members have this rod.Any views as to what they are like to fish with? Will report back when it arrives.

The rod arrived today No 7772.The rings have been re whipped but done very tidily. The handle has had the usual clean up from me.I'll re set one ferrule on the bottom of the whole cane middle section and give it two coats of yacht varnish and it will be ready to go.The transfer is in good order with the usual "All England Winner 1959" around the circumference of the butt section.Does it say in the Millwards catalogue who the 1959 winner was as I cannot find anything on the Internet? .I hope the catalogue is correct and it will be suitable for heavier fish as I have not done any match fishing for over 40 years.

Hello PDuffield.
I know this is an old post, but do you happen to have page 38 of this catalogue. I have a Milward Searanger 9"6" and I'm trying to find out the whipping colour. Many thanks
