Suggestions/ recommendations please chaps for fishing gloves.

Totally unrelated ( sorry). Walking along the Roding with my Dad. The cold winter morning had suddenly become very misty. Then I realised my hand warmer had opened and set my parka pocket alight.

These are quite thick but toastie and you can leave your finger tip exposed for the fiddly bits.

Finger and thumb peel back mitts are no good for fishing a pin… you need proper fingerless jobs Jez, try looking for Thinsulate, cheap enough to buy new a pair every winter as well

Seal skinz are excellent. A friend swears by then. I can't comment on thier glove but the socks are amazing

I bought a cheap pair of neoprenes gloves when Aldi had their fishing tackle weekend last year, still using them and they do keep mitts warm when I'm trotting... when I'm feeder fishing I have a Mitt/Muff into which I place a battery powered hand warmer... very toasty

As a Yorkshireman, I'm proud to declare that my fingerless gloves cost me nothing.
Well, the price of a copy of the Angling Times, who gave them away, more years ago than I care to think about.
Described as 'pole gloves' the rubber studs in the palm were supposed to improve your grip on the pole.
Although they are just made of string, they are surprisingly warm even when wet through.
I suppose it keeps the wind off your hands.

These neoprene gloves are from Decathlon and are both practical and excellent with good thermal qualities

The problem I find with gloves for fishing is that I keep hooking them! The best compromise I've found is to use thin fingerless thinsulate gloves if your hands are getting really cold or alternatively stop fishing for 10 minutes and warm your hands on a nice cup of tea or coffee.
