Alchemy

I have been watching Facebook marketplace for a food blender to turn a cheap loaf of bread into crumbs.

Last week I acquired one for the grand sum of £5. :dancing:
I was expecting just a jug with a blade in it, but it has come with many other accessories.
So I might branch out and use it for making cheese paste and the like.

Any advice?

Having your own kit removed the excitement of making bait in the kitchen before SWBO returns

I may be simple, but I’m not stupid.

Watch your fingers on the blades!

I used to use an old one for chopping or liquidising old worms to add to groundbait. It’s a lot simpler, quicker and less messy than scissors!

I much prefer to let the bread go stale and then put it through a hand operated mincer. The crumb also keeps much better.

SWMBO actually lets me use hers!!! but only for bread crumb.I would be dead meat if I used it for anything else! If it has a mixing paddle you should be able to make cheesepaste with it.I would use it on a slow speed to start with and see how it goes.

A bullet...
A fresh uncut loaf, less crust chops up good enough to squeeze and lob in as ground bait.
I gave that ago a few years ago. I never caught anything special l( I was using a big bait) but there was loads of fish around.

I once bought a cheap blender for my bread, worms etc and found that most of the worms fell below the blades and I really disliked the process. The bread could only be done in small quantities and as for paste? Lots of smoke and a visit to the dustbin which coincidentally, is what happened to my wife's expensive blender.

Just a heads up.
