Hi Rockape,A stork flew over my house today and dropped off a package from France.A Mepps Baby Vamp.The reel foot has not even the tiniest scrape,the body badge is unblemished,no dirt whatsoever inside the spool rotor and no evidence of the spool ever being loaded with line.I've got to give it a little tweak here and there(bail arm scuffing the spool) but otherwise the reel is in remarkably fine condition.An absolutely divine little fishing machine.TTFN

WOW.......The Spinette is delightful and the Hardy Altex is drop dead stunning.........Excellent pictures too.Dopamine ??? A mug of Horlicks is all the excitement I can handle.My plan now is to explain to the lady that cooks my dinner that purchasing ANOTHER Mepps reel is of the utmost importance....

Lol!... yes, this is something I too go through regularly with the lovely lady cooking my (very late in the day) dinner as I write...bless her (edit: had to finish my dinner before continuing with my post, so now it is very late...lol!).

My daughter tells me that my reel collecting bug is just the natural dopamine effect (the excitement of opening a box with a new/old reel inside) well she aint wrong there...lol!

I do love to admire them, service and photograph them...and look forward to the next reel fondling session (ooh er missus!), so that keeps the dopamine flowing....yeah!!!!
