My parents buying a float rod for me for Christmas from Ray. My cough was so bad I couldnt visit the relations but could get up to shiver and sneeze at the Eagle
Rays finance sale arrangement " on the book" . Ray looked you up and down and wrote it in a book

Think it was after.... so long ago now... think it may have been 73/74 ish... possibly even later, I think they moved from one side of the M11 to the other, down to Woodford green

Re: Keswalls Fishing Tackle- original shop
I think the old shop went when changes to the North Circular road meant it had to be demolished. I remember buying a glass rod blank and 42” net mesh from the old shop, 1973?
Used the new shop quite regularly after moving to Chigwell in1984. The baby in the pram had certainly ‘grown up!’ over the years.
