M. J. KENNY

Post by Wamfess »

:surrender:
Does anyone know anything about a rod maker called M. J. KENNY from Market Harborough. He produced quite a lot of cane rods I think in 50's & 60's but the is not a lot of info about him/her.
There was a massive bunch of rods by him/her sold at auction a few years ago and that's all I have found so far.
Any info/links to info would be gratefully appreciated.

Think I was at the same auction, but didn't buy them - now wish I had. (Gildings) it was 2018 - how time passes:

This was a typical display box - do believe there was another with just as much stuff in (did you buy it)

I am getting the feeling these were rods he (Mr Kenny) possibly collected and was not actually making! I didn't buy them, but would like to hear from whoever did. It would answer a few questions. Can't find anything about the fellow and have contacted people in Market Harborough but as of yet no one has any knowledge of him.
