Not quite in the same league as APFA but still very good with Hugh Miles' awesome film making and Bernard Cribbins' narration.

An excellent series, I bought the first dvd but at £30 a time I couldn't afford to buy any more. It was shown on tv but I missed the opportunity to record it. Bernard Cribbin's voice makes me very relaxed, I could listen to him all day!

I bought the book at the launch at the Carp Society show and got it signed by Hugh, Bernard and Martin. I'll be taking it with me to The Lands End on the 19th Nov for chris to sign it and complete the set. :thumb:
I also bought the first episode, I loved the part with the carp feeding in the edge and Martin almost pushing Bernard in!!!

Another great series by Hugh Miles, the man is a genius!
The only thing that would have made this a better series would be more Chris Yates. :thumb:
I still have to buy it on DVD, was hoping there may be some copies for sale on the 19th.

Re: Catching the impossible
Having received the 1st DVD last Christmas I got the 2nd on this year. Awesome stuff. I'm no dace fisher but the 1lb 2oz dace was extraordinary. Not whether to push the boat out and buy the 3rd one or wait until next Christmas and hope Santa has it in his sack.

Most of them are on you tube to download. You can also download a "free you tube downloader" off the net which converts you tube videos into MP4 format. You can then copy them to disc and watch on the tv!
I use it to download useful vids to embed in my powerpoint presentations.

Good idea but I don't want to deprive Hugh Miles of his money.tony1964 wrote:Most of them are on you tube to download. You can also download a "free you tube downloader" off the net which converts you tube videos into MP4 format. You can then copy them to disc and watch on the tv!

I find it easier to download and convert online videos using the website http://keepvid.com/ no software needed.
