James 'type' reel bands?

Post by HWKWallis »

Does anyone with a broad enough knowledge of James rods know if they used a generic type of reel bands similar to the attached?
These are actually off an O/S Arun, which assuming they're similar makes sense if you accept that rod is an Avocet incognito..... but I've also seen them on Eggington rods etc.

Who was making the hardware that appeared on these (London based?) models?

best

Jim

Hi Jim,
I believe these rings were made by W R Products the same firm who made the Speedia reels.
They are shown in a tackle catalogue I have somewhere but which one is now a mystery.
I thought it was in a J B Walker rod kit catalogue but for the life of me I cant find it anywhere.

I'll keep looking..

Wal.
