Some of you may have read through this thread, even contributed, but I'll post a link to it here. I feel it has importance, not only at the fact it is a debate surrounding our most famous pool, but it also shows how a group of adults can partake in such debate with such strong views but still do so in a gentlemanly manner.

Just had a read, very good thread indeed, some very good and valid points.

I have never fished Redmire and probably never will, but to me it is a place of history, romance and dreams fuelled by the writing skills of Chris Yates and the camera work of Hugh Miles.

Perhaps it is because Redmire is held in such high esteem that the views aired on the forum are done in such a polite manor.

I like to have a browse on that forum from time to time, it is one of the more gentle places on the internet.
