The writing looks like "Modernite Pixie."

One sold on the Bay of E in February for £14.50 + p&p. Described as "Vintage Modernite Pixie 4" Bakelite Centrepin Reel"

Now that is a rare find!

I can only guess that Marco ordered some and requested their logo be incorporated into the mould for the plastic.

I've seen Pixies before, but never with that logo.

I absolutely agree...that is surely the Marco trade mark.

I can't see the photos on this post somI'm wondering if I have Pixie here? ImageImageImageImage
The Modern arms logo is clearly impressed into the Bakelite. The reel is 3.25" dia.

check the date! Tinypic went nuts and started charging everyone for posting pics so we stopped using them and then they removed all of the photos that were downloaded using their app!

Sorry, no pixies etc!

If you search on 'marco pixie fishing reel' the original image is still there for some reason and it is different to your reel.

It would appear that there were several different Marco Pixies. This is one I picked up in a car boot sale when I first got started in this lark. It has a side lever ratchet. I’ve only ever had it on display and never used it.
