A big thank you to Paul Cook

Post by Harry H »

Just like to say how pleased I am with the restoration job Paul did on my MKIV,initially it was thought just new intermediates regluing of the ferreles and a few coats of varnish. But when Paul cleaned up the ferrele he found a hairline crack :Brickwall:.so it looked like it was going to be a brand new set which was quite dissapointed about as I wanted too keep it as original as possible but Paul managed after a great deal of searching to find a period nickle silver set from one of his contacts :huray: So on Friday I received an email on to say it was ready for collection and hear are some pics of the finished article
A question I forgot to ask was what temperature and humidity setting should I set my rod cabinet to
Dont worry Wednesday booked off work for testing

Another top job by the top man. I don't know how he does it, but one thing is for sure, The finish, as it is on everything Paul makes or restores is perfection !!! :Thumb:

:Hat: True craftsmanship a lovely job and and a lovely rod.
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’
