Nothing to exciting but currently making another bamboo landing net handle and realised that I had no butt cap. So with an old bit of threaded brass fom a plastic landing net block, few pieces of soling leather ,drill, sandpaper and shoe polish.
Quite pleased with the result so have decided to put it on my current pole and the rubber one can go on the new one.

These are really fantastic. As a newcomer to TFF I find I so inspiring seeing all the items that everyone makes and restores. It means so much more to have made something which you then use, rather than going down to the local tackle shop and picking it up off the shelf. I have recently bought a couple of old canes (really shabby) which when time permits over the winter I intend to strip back and restore. Thank you.

Great stuff Evert and Harry! Keep them coming!
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

There are some beautiful things here, all testament to the skill of their makers. I'm hoping to have a crack at making some sea fishing floats in the new year.
