Got the DVD, a great addition to any collection, well worth investing in. Rivals APFA in my opinion.

Good topic Leigh. Excellent DVD well worth the purchase and the music fits the mood beautifully. Channel 4 also produced a book for the series. ISBN 0-19-281278-5 from Oxford Paperbacks, Oxford University Press, Walton Street, Oxford. OX2 6DP.
There is an excellent radio recording of Arthur Ransome on utube reading a passage from "Rod & Line"

The good angler is not the one with expensive equipment. Common sense, observation and trying to realize
what is happening above and below water will catch fish no matter what price equipment you fish with.
