Vintage Tackle Advertisements
I have had a look through the forum and could not find a topic regarding these most wonderful and nostalgic ephemeral advertisements. I thought If I start with one - the rather strange Bernard-Shaw Bag & Creel - others may follow - over to you all.
Apologies if someone else has already done this on the forum, but my art in referencing is minimal.

No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.

Re: Vintage Tackle Advertisements
There are a few vintage tackle adverts around the forum but it would be nice to have a dedicated thread for them, a nice idea Pallenpool.
Here is one I put up a couple of years ago, a Sealey Octopus rod advert from 1953.

Here's an old Intrepid reel advert from the 'Fishing Magazine' December 1966.

The good angler is not the one with expensive equipment. Common sense, observation and trying to realize
what is happening above and below water will catch fish no matter what price equipment you fish with.

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

That's the ticket - they already look superb one lined up after the other - hopefully we will be able to compile a books worth - I find them rather heart warming - & I am sure you chaps (Es') all agree - the way of things as they were and (just maybe) should be now. Please keep them coming. . . . . . . . .

There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.
