Definitely the end of an era with Albury Game Angling shutting up shop on January 15th.
A nicer chap you couldn't wish to meet.

I had a chat with Peter a couple of weeks ago, he is moving to Hampshire and working at Dever Springs 2 days per week and will continue to run his guiding service. He was talking about running an online shop. Very sad to see him go, shame :-(

Yes, this is a great shame and a sign of the times I'm afraid.
The shop is just round the corner from me and Peter and Sue have always been incredibly helpful whenever I go in there.

That is such a shame and whilst I am not a fly fisher it’s sad to lose another tackle outlet , so many course shops have closed in Surrey .

Oh dear! Peter's accommodation was part of his employment at Wintershall, a private syndicate attached to an Elizabethan mansion near Cranleigh....surely he can't be commuting to Andover everyday? Double the wrench if he's lost his home too!
