Thankyou for the warm welcome everybody,I will post some pics of the rod when I get time to take some photos.
Normally I stop piking in mid March and hardly fish from now through to October, spending more time with family and on the house and garden but this new interest will give me an excuse to get out for some evenings after work on the river.

That's how it works Matt! My approach is to use cane every time unless it compromises my fishing and I spend any spare time in the evenings repairing, renovating or making stuff. It's a great antidote to that mad world out there and the people on this Forum are the greatest treasures.

A hearty welcome, Sir.
