This is the rod I bought at auction, it’s in really good nick and H13002 on the butt end dates it 1957, it looks hardly used and has the lockable ferrule with a spring loaded pin. The rings, lockable bands and butt cap are very attractive. I’m looking forward to using it after Carp and it looks very suitable for Barbel.
Very nice again, I have an old Hardy Salmon spinning rod which has the ferrule pin and the locking reel bands and a steel centre, it is lovely quality.. mine is late 1920's! Brilliant buy you have had
Crikey David - haven’t you done well - first the James now this little beauty and both by the looks of it in fine fettle. Brilliant stuff indeed.

Does the Corbett have a steel centre - either optional or all rods?
I have a Corbett No2 and that has a steel centre.

This royal throne of kings, this sceptered isle,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.
