Picked this up today. I make it about 10’ 6” but perhaps just 10’ and a bit. Three sections, silver reel bands. Spanish reed or whole cane butt and middle (spliced step down at top of middle) with a split cane tip. Butt ring is clear glass, tip ring missing. As you can see, ‘The Match’ is handwritten but almost certainly original. Whipped in a light green. Thanks in anticipation!

Re: What can you tell me about my Edgar Sealey ‘The Match’?
I can tell you that I have just finished restoring and begun fishing with a 14ft sealey match and have immediaty fallen for it. Because of its length I just use it for laying on in my local river. Not much help for a 10 ft version except that I would expect the action to be much the same due to the similar construction. Mine too is Spanish reed and split cane with the splice in the middle section and the action is really nice. In fact I like it so much that I have broken my no more cane rods rule to buy a 12ft Supreme which appears to be of identical construction.
These are the Golden Years. Don't waste them.
