I am pleased to inform you that my favourite tackle shop Dawson's(advertising at a different location in the book) still operate on Holme Lane,Hillsborough,Sheffield.A highly recommended traditional tackle shop,which are becoming increasingly rare

I love these old advertisements, thanks for posting them.
I wonder, do any rods sold by the world famous’ Albert Smith of Redditch’ still exist?
Also, I have seen references to Loch Leven trout as n angling books from the 1950’s, and always assumed they are rainbow trout. It would seem not, as they are listed as well as rainbows in the advert for the fish farm
So what are Loch Leven trout, please?
