Woldale
Just started reading this by Maurice Ingham
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

Re: Woldale
I found the book quite disappointing given the magic that surrounded the place and those who fished it. A stocking filler but not a classic.

Re: Woldale
I don't know the book so looked to see what I could find on the web and came across an article by Arthur Clarke (don't know him) on the water, which I thought quite good by fishing article standards. Apparently he reached the point where he had caught every fish in the water. Somewhat undermines the point of fishing there I'd have thought, but then I'm not a carp enthusiast.
