Can Anyone recommend a good folding landing net

Post by Tench Dreamer »

Well can anyone recommend one? Paul Duffields lovely piece on his Dace day with Lee of Reditch rod, reminded me that I had a fold up landing net.....Only upon checking today I haven't any more.( thats along story)

My Zebco one wasnt much really but it did have a fairly long handle.Unlike all the Game' Trout ones which would sufice for me if only the blooming handles were longer.

So Im looking for a replacement fold up landing net with a long handle....and on this one, Traditional isn't that important

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Lidl's angling promotion starts Monday and they list a net that I believe folds and extends to 2.2 metres, possibly worth a punt?

The best one I know of is the Wilco Trinet 20T (sea trout size). The handle extends to about four feet. It's still available, and has been for years; I bought one in 1985. About thirty quid. The mesh is OK, but you can replace it easily enough if you want.

I bought the Lidl one last time they offered it. Excellent piece of kit.
