Not from a small river but a blooming great reservoir where you cannot fish for them. This beauty fell to a fly angler and weighs 3lb 6oz!!!

Maybe we could try arranging a TFF day out - centre pins look like fly reels from a distance :Happy:

The roach from a small club river is a superb size, but the roach from the reservoir just goes to show how big roach can grow in a large water with the right conditions.
I've always believed there must be a number of waters that have outstanding specimens and even record size fish of various species, but we just don't know because you can't fish them.

Definitely. Surely reservoirs like Rutland water must has huge coarse fish which will never be seen or caught.
