No problem QC. I shall take a few photos tomorrow - hopefully in sunlight - and post them here.

Going by the generosity previously shown by TFF folk, this is up there with the most magical. What a gesture, such skill, time and effort is incredible, and for what gain? Just to know you'll cherish them. That's special!

As promised QC and young Beresford, hopefully below are some photographs of the newly acquired, rather delightful in my opinion, Mk. IV made by Barry Grantham and now also the receipient of one of the very special "Redmire Chess Set" mahogany ferrule stoppers..........................the "cork stopper" in the photograph but a temporary measure.....I have been watching the TV this evening after yet another day at work with a glass of something rather delectable...."Grand Cru Something"....in one hand....and this latest addition to the Barbulus Mk. IV collection in the other...... even my lady wife can see how special this one actually is to me...... Image

Looks great. I love the cane colour especially – I look forward to hearing how you get with it.

I'm liking the dark flaming. B. Does it have a BG ident logo anywhere ?

The writing straight up the cane resembles Chapmans rather dunnit.

The one I saw advertised had full Inters badly spaced, added after market perhaps. Looks better without in my opinion.

That cork stopper is unworthy, bin it immediately Sir !

I agree. This version looks far far better as whipped and yes young QC, I can assure you that the temporary cork stopper has not only been binned but actually was in two parts when it went to "Recycling". ! It has been replaced with which of the five individual "Chess Set" pieces do you think as it's permanent ferrule stopper ?

I cannot ever predict with any accuracy, which is why I do not bet. B.

However if the new BG rod has pride of place in your stock of cane,

Then it should surely be the King?

But with Yatesy's involvement the Bishop seems to win it.

In short. I dunno ?
