I never really understood why Speedia reels commanded such strong prices recently. I placed a token bid on this one, the opening price of £40 and got side tracked at work, so forgot about it. I was surprised to find later that evening that I had won it, being the sole bidder. It arrived today and I have to say, I am impressed. It is a bit scruffy but mechanically excellent and spins superbly, a perfect trotting reel. I am a convert.
so that was what all the fuss was about

don't worry about the paint work ,I can count on one hand the number of speedia's I've seen with there 'Original' paint all in tact .a bit of paint loss just adds character .you've got yourself a good bargain there
I try to be funny... but sometimes I merely look it! Steve

Crowd funding, not at all traditional but we could have a TFF replica Speedia made if there were enough takers.
