Hi chaps,
a current request from Dave Burr brought me to this post. I turned a 330 into rift hand wind and I will now post how to bring it back. Just follow my description backwards to turn your left hand wind reel into right hand wind.
First unscrew the three screws holding the handle.
Remove the little black locking spring on the pin of the main gear.
Now turn the "arm" so you can access the stud bolt. Unscrew it and move the nut to the other side.
Right hand wind looks like this:
Now put the "arm" back on the main gear pin and lock it with the locking spring. Then secure it with the stud bolt on the spool shaft.
Now put the side plate back on and secure the assembly with the three long screws.
That's about it.
Maybe Dave will let us know if it worked backwards.

Some of the DAM reels came with a little kit to convert them in a little plastic bag so do check any boxes or reel bags for the extra parts some need.
Not all 330 reels can be converted though. Paddex knows which can and can't but he's not been on here for ages now.

I had a lot going through my hands now. All of them would have been convertible Nobby. It is dependent on the "arm collar" I reckon. And in all my 330 reel booklet descriptions it is a chapter how to convert them. If anyone has one that cannot be converted he might share it here.

Ingenious!
I said goodbye to what I knew and embraced the ways of old, with it taking on the attitude that big isn't best.

There are a few where you will need spares to convert. The only one I know which cannot be converted are the N models...

True Tinca Tinca, such "N" models can't be converted. For the regular models of 110, 220, 330 I can tell they can. Lovely reels.
