Me / Son and dog over the river for a wander yesterday ... Even saw anglers fishing . An Egret too ... River looked tip top . For November it wasn't too fast , some nice pools too. Just wish I had a spare , free to myself afternoon . Maybe soon .
Anyone else fished the Roding recently ?

Re: Looking good
Nope, but I wished my local river was looking good, been far too low for far too long
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

Not fished it since August! Weekends all taken up with house renovation work. Probably be the new 2016 season before I cast a line into the Roding. But at least I achieved my 2015 goal early

Re: Looking good
Not fished the Roding for years as I moved to far away. When I was young (how long ago that is!) I fished it a lot. Caught my first chub there, a monster that must have weighed all of 2lb, no idea what it is like now but it was a smashing little river all those years ago and I spent many happy hours there learning about touch fishing and it is where I first found out just what a fantastic bait slugs are
