Three times we tried to catch a fish on it; even Bob Brookes tried and he can catch fish in a puddle.
Last night, I finally managed to get some fish on the Hardy that Harry lent me. I’d never used one before but what a lovely clutch. I thought I had all the tackle I ever needed (or wanted) but, in truth, it never stops does it?
and that singing clutch in a little video medley:

Surface fishing for carp is so exciting, made more so by the purr of an Altex. And no, it never stops; even after years of acquisition there's always one last thing that we 'need'.

Well once again I have some MKIV footage to entertain me thanks Phil - as Beresford has said surface fishing for Carp is magical - I’ve never used an Altex but I found them to be a very tactile reel and aesthetically very pleasing - but when I do use a fixed its a 300. As for acquisitions it’s always an ongoing pursuit - an analogy being without the coal a steam engine just does not roll.
Thanks for the post.

Why can I feel my heart pounding when it's somebody else in the video. Lovely footage Phil and a lovely reel too.

Smashing bit of film with excellent sounds, my wife who was sitting in the corner asked what I was watching as I kept saying lovely stuff ! it makes you want to get out fishing immediately!
