Summer chunks
Last night on the Gt Ouse. Different angles of the fish captured, purely because at night you can never get to view them properly when using a head torch of any sort. Over 5lbs respectively.

In a word,"NICE".
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

Well done Vito.

Re: Summer chunks
Hi Snape, this season, at the moment I've found the chub are not staying down, they're up at the top. I could tackle them in many ways, float for instance, but it's a little too clogged up for my liking in most of the haunts I visit.
The servere floods we've had this year has certainly changed the bottom beds in most places here, so new snags to contend with which will be fun come winter. Night time they're on that bottom and very up for it. I've spoken to a few anglers who are catching them in darkness and I sat with another who pulled out four nice five plus chub out one swim. So at the minute for me it's the best time to have a go, stepped up of course as there's a possible chance of hooking into bertie.
Saying all that I really need to get my chub head screwed back on and go after them, my mojo needs to kick back in. I blame lockdown
