I'm sure we've all had a few of these nets go through our hands but I don't think this one has seen the light of day since it was purchased you can even still smell the linseed oil in the mesh.

That's correct it hasn't oxidised at all it was in the bottom of an Eefgeeco holdall along with a hardly used 11ft Rodrill float rod which is probably due to having a split ferrule.

And mine too! I have one now in very good condition and occasionally I take a deep whiff of the mesh and that oily aroma takes me right back to the first time I used the original to net a half pound Carrot Pond Rudd.
