Just wondering if anyone who owns a James Avon would be so kind as to let me know that guide spacings, and the butt guide size?
A few decent close-up pics would also be handy.

Re: James MK IV Avon
It could do with a bit of a refurb looking at it closely.
Butt Section
From doughnut to 1st ring = 15 and 7/8"
from 1st ring to second = 16 and 3/8"
Second Section
From end of brass ferrule to 3rd ring = 10 and 1/2"
3rd ring to 4th ring = 12 and 11/16"
4th ring to 5th ring = 12 and 1/4"
5th ring to 6th ring = 10"
6th ring to 7th ring = 9 and 1/2"
7th ring to tip ring = 5 and 1/2"
Butt ring size
1 and 1/8" wide (OD)
11/16" (ID)
Hope I made it clear, let know if you need any further pictures or measurements etc Haydn.

where you find only elder trees, nettles and dreams. (BB - Denys Watkins-Pitchford).

Cheers, Marksman, you are a gentleman and a scholar. That's a great help. I have a project rod and need a few reference pics and spec.
