Fatty has a Silex used mainly casting deadbaits and twitching them slowly back for Pike and big cannibal Trout. Usually a Weir pool is best for this style of fishing. Can't tell you why but just is...take the word of Fat Fool.

Casting is straight from the reel, smoothly like a multiplayer, except you rely on the brake arrangement not yer thumb, so timing is important. As is a relaxed unforced casting action.

Don't expect to cast tremendous distances but on a river casts far enough.

That was helpful. Of course you’re right. Casting it like the multi.
Sometimes one just does not the wood for the trees.
