Romsey Tackle Fair next week-end.
Just a reminder, if I may Mods, that the Fair is next Sunday, the 11th at the usual place in Romsey. £2 to get in as before.
Myself and JAA will have a table again, full of stuff nearly as old as us.
It's worth the trip just for a look around and prices are certainly cheaper than at auctions, I think.

Romsey Community School, Greatbridge Road, Romsey, Hampshire. Starts 9am (officially, but doors usually open a bit before) and ends (officially) at 2pm, but most people head off about midday. Usually about 25 - 30 stalls in two halls. Mix of vintage and (fairly) modern kit, books, etc, plus some strange and bizarre curiosities (mostly behind the stalls!)

For those who use Sat Navs I might just mention that the school's post code puts you in a field by the river some way from the school!
As you were....they've corrected it:
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=43 ... hp=ids.srf
You turn into Priestlands, the road off the A3398 and take the first entrance, almost immediately on your left. Park in the school grounds and follow your nose . If you go to the smallest setting on the map site above it gives an image of the school buildings...the fair is in the Western end of the biggest building, entrance in the middle of the North side.

Why oh why do these tackle fairs/shows insist on the last weekend of the [river] season. Would love to be there but............there is a 3lb roach that needs feeding.

I know what you mean Mike - for me it really is a toss up between business and pleasure (though I kinda like my business too really!). Needless to say pleasure won out - a final outing to land an elusive Wensum chub for me! I'll be at Mullocks auction on the 24th though, is anyone else is going? - would be good to say hello over a cup of tea.
