many thanks for allowing me to join
Hello and thanks for letting me join this group...I have been a user of cane for 50+ years and still find great delight in using some of my favourites...or even just admiring the craftsmanship of a good cane rod...
I came across this site as I was interested in making or possibly buying a pear shaped "crabtree" style net...a barder version is beyond my means now and I'd probably be frightened to use it in case it got scratched...
I have some well seasoned ash strips all ready to be bent to shape..all I need is the brass fitting...does anyone know where I can get one of those from?
looking forward to contributing to the discussions and learning more...one can never stop learning I find
thanks again for allowing me to join and may all your cane creak on a regular basis...
Regards
Mike

Welcome to the TFF, Mike!
I've got no idea, where to look for the brass fitting. But I'm very much looking forward to seeing your net, when it's ready!

Welcome to the TFF.
