Hi, you cannot go wrong by using Singer sewing machine super oil. I have used it for years and it's by far the best.

I wouldn't knock others but having tried many over the years this one stands out in my opinion bar none.

I use 'The Mill Pin Oil' Garry Mills own special blend of synthetic oils.

To be honest I'm sure if I gave someone three identical reels each using a different oil from the above posts they would not be able to tell the difference when spinning the reels, it's just personal preference at the end of the day.

I like Garry's 'Pin Oil' very much, and whilst it was a Fiver, I have poured some into a spare bottle for bank-side emergencies and serviced about 40 reels with the original bottle ....which is still half-full.

I bought a 2030purist new when it came out, very nice reel that's happy to sip sewing machine or gun oil. Good luck with it.
